Tips for OEM Backup Camera Connection on Honda Civic

   If you ordered a Joying Honda Civic Car radio for your Honda Civic car with the year 2016-2021, and the OEM Backup camera cannot work. Pls check the below info:

1. First of all, pls check what your car type is? Auto or Manual?

2. If your car is the Auto type, you only need to make the backup camera input RCA cable connected.  Pls Check the below picture as reference:

3. If your car is the Manual Type, pls check the below connections:

a. Pls find the Full Orange BACK cable from the Canbus box and take it out:

b. Then find your car backup camera cable from this plug:

c. Pls connect the Orange cable to the Green cable:

You can connect the step C like this way:

Then the Backup camera will work normally when you put the car in rear gear.

　How to solve the 4G problem on Joying head unit?

Following ideas are for solving the 4G problem when there is no 4G signal or no internet data on the head unit. you can try below ways one by one.

The steps No.1-3 are the most important!!

1) You need to connect both 4G antennas to following "4G DIV" and "4G PRI" as below:

2) You need to buy following 4G SIM card style:

3) You need to reboot the head unit after you insert the 4G SIM card on the head unit.

4) You need to choose the proper date and time zone.

5) Please disable the pin code on the 4G SIM card.

6) Please disconnect following 4G antenna :

 Please check whether these wires on the plug are broken or loose part from the plug.

 If there is no problems on the wire, please connect it again on the board tightly.

7) Please check whether you have inserted the Micro 4G SIM card correctly:

    In case that the SIM card is not fix stable on the slot, you also can try to put a small paper above of the SIM card. So that it can add the thickness.

8) For the APN setting processes:

You need to make clear on what is your APN setting for.

In order to get the APN information, you can insert the SIM card on the phone for checking.

And then create an APN on the Joying with the same setting which shown on the phone.

After setting the APN, please save it and then restart the head unit.

If your SIM card is from “AT&T”, you can try below APN setting:

If you are from AU, you can use the "telstra" or "Vodafone" card.

If you are in USA, you better to use the SIM card from “T-Mobile” /AT&T company. Please do not use the “version” and “Sprint”as far as possible.

How to connect the 9853i back wires and keep the steering wheel control?

Good day !! everyone

Many customers are confused on connecting the New 9853i system back wires and keeping the steering wheel control.

Today we will share the way on how to do.

There are 4 cables at the back of Joying head unit like attached picture:

If you buy Joying universal head unit with ISO harness or other special head unit without Can-bus decoder, please connect "KEY" and "CAN OUT" cable together like attached picture, then connect your car SWC cables with Joying SWC cables, you can set and use SWC buttons.

If you buy Joying special head unit with Can-bus decoder for Volkswagen/Toyota/Honda/Peugeot/, please connect "CAN IN" with "CAN OUT" cable together like attached picture, then choose proper Can-bus option, your car SWC buttons will work well.

If you buy Joying special head unit with Can-bus decoder for Ford Focus/Jeep/BMW E39/E46, please connect "IR" with "CAN OUT" cable together like attached picture, then your car SWC buttons will work well.

How to remap the touch button on Joying head unit

If your Android car stereo panel buttons ( power, home, volume, GPS and back button) on the screen are not responsive, please remap these buttons like the below steps:


Step 1: Go into Settings app:

Step 2: Enter “ Panel Key Learning” option and clear all learned buttons:

Step 3. Before you remap these buttons, please go to settings to increase the X-axis and Y-axis data.

Step 4: Remap these buttons, please noted that the touch range is decided by the first time you touch when learning the buttons, so make more area of your finger to touch it when learning. After learning, please click “ save” button.
